In our interns own words:

Coleman Training Development in Bradford supports neurodivergent young people into sustainable paid employment by providing supported internships with various employers across the district.

At the end of each academic year we hold a Celebration Day to congratulate our interns for their hard work, achievements, and progress during their time with us.

This year, Declan asked to say a few words, which we were happy to hear!

Declan delivered a powerful, off-the-cuff speech describing how, at the beginning of his journey, he felt as though he was standing at the edge of a ravine—eager to move forward towards independence, but unable to find a way across.

He then went on to explain how his experience with us—through classroom learning and supported work placements—transformed his outlook, developed his skills, and boosted his confidence. Now, he said, he can clearly see a path ahead.

His closing words were, “CTD helped me build a bridge to the future,” and the room roared with applause!

We wish Declan a very bright and successful future.
