Appropriate communication skills with Winchester Rugby Club.

Coleman Training Development welcomed Gareth Martin from Winchester Rugby Club who delivered appropriate communication skills to our supported interns.

🏉 We happily welcomed Winchester Rugby Club Head Coach, Gareth Martin, to deliver a workshop to our interns about appropriate communication between different social groups ( e.g. friends, colleagues, managers and clients.)

🗣👥 The goal was for the interns to understand how to navigate these interactions.

This involved an exercise to identify the interns’ individual communication styles.

💭 One SI said -

“I think that the presentation was well done. He spoke clearly and loudly. He spoke about the different social interactions, like between friends, colleagues, clients and with a boss. We then took a test about our communication style, the four styles listed are ‘direct’, ‘spirited’, ‘systematic’, and ‘considerate’. My results were that I am primarily systematic and minority direct.”
