Life saving training!

** Repost from Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust **

"After successfully completing our Achieve programme, 19-year-old Ben put his training into practice when he phoned 999 and saved his dad's life.

The Trust’s Achieve programme has been running for two years with a range of partners, including Coleman Training Development (CTD) in Bradford where Ben is an intern, where they delivered several sessions last year.

The programme, which is supported by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity, is a practical skills course designed around values and skills important in the ambulance service and is delivered over six weekly sessions. Achieve teaches valuable life skills, including first aid, for people needing support to improve their lives.

Ben's quick thinking was recently celebrated when he was presented with a certificate and letter of commendation at Bradford Ambulance Station."

- WELL DONE, BEN!

We are immensely proud of our interns and very grateful to Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust for their partnership and life-saving training.
